This evening we'll meet an interesting township resident from almost a century ago. Presented by local historian W. Jay Wanczyk, please join us for The Travels of Frank Lewis.
Franklin S. Lewis served as the principal of the Pompton Plains School. During many years in the 1930s, he would load up a flatbed truck with a couple of dozen boys and girls from the area, pack in supplies, and head off on a lengthy camping tour. More than once they set off on a months-long cross-country tour. Jay recently came into a treasure trove of articles, letters, and more from Lewis' estate. This promises to be fascinating!
